As Seen out there!

Postby Tom Greenleaf » Thu Mar 20, 2008 9:09 pm

Perhaps I'm slow (thanks for not agreeing too much) but now WallyWorld has a 12oz, 134a+ sealer marked "system safe" as I think it's catching on that the stuff CAN mess things up. Same can said 50% better and faster at idle speed???? They also had the "Fix-a-flat" type container with NO more info on it than the big print that this will solve everything like the junk we've all heard about. That stuff would be real interesting in a tire! :-{}

It's way early here but it looked like they want out of the A/C junk altogether which might be a good idea. Plain 134a available at last year's price of 6.96 for the 12oz guy.

Post any other junk you might see out there. We need to know what is being sold at least,

I saw a can of the "fix a flat "stuff also. I was wondering , that since it contains stop leak that I could put it in my tires and never have a flat again. Of course after properly converting my valve stems over to the correct R134a Acme connectors. The tires would run cooler so I would have a lower risk of having a blow out. Heck I might even get better gas mileage. Are we on to something here???? But of course to much pressure would be bad--It would put a whole new meaning to the term "black death"

Now can't you just envision 134a in your tires?? You go out to a cold car and the tires are almost flat - right. No problem, get them all warmed up from driving and listen for bang of the tires blowing off the rims! What a hoot!

Speaking of the "fix a flat" stuff - it does work for tires but you won't make friends at the tire place that has to do the real fix for that tire :-()

I had a sports car that had a flat in Wikiup, Az. That is no man's land on Sunday afternoon. Found a gas station with a flat fix can. I thumped and vibrated all the way home. I made it but it was costly. I guess I should be thankful I could get that. It's all relative. Boy that stuff could put AC shops out of business and tire stores. Everything will be cold. Yuk!
