R12 oil compatibility

What is the best oil to use to use with R12? mineral oil or alkylbenzene or polymax2 I have a 1989 ford F350 and im replacing everything on the AC system and I want the compressor to last a long time. thank you

Nothing is better than mineral oil for R12.

Thank you for the information I work on large stationary AC units this is my first time doing a automotive system I have a gallon of NU-calgon C-3s 150 sus at 100 degrees farenheit mineral oil is ths compatible? the vehicle is my work truck 1989 F-350 with a 7.3 diesel compressor is a FS-6 I orderd a shaft seal and gasket set from AC source. This is the most infomative site I have ever come across thanks, Octavio

It it says Mineral Oil, I assume the viscosity is 150 which is fine. Will do the job. R-22 Stationary systems also use mineral oil
