92 explorer not cooling

Postby al hobbs » Wed Jun 29, 2005 6:13 pm

I converted a 92 ford explorer to r134, installed a new accumulator, different orifice ( I think green) replace the oil as well. it has never really cooled as well as it did. it put gauges on it and the high side is 300psi and the low side is 43psi. air temp is 65 with max cool settings and blower on high, outside temp was 90. I just did my daughters 93 colt, had to replace the condenser, vacuumed it down to 30hg, added new oil, it will freeze you out of the car. So what did I do wrong with my explorer? Thanks for the help.

Use blue O tube, and change the clutch fan, and recharge 85% into the vacuum and tweak it from there..Feel free to e-mail me for vac/cgharge procedures..Hope this helps.
