95 Silverado need r134 specs

Postby Van Diest » Wed Mar 15, 2017 3:28 am

I have a 95 Silverado 1500, 5.7, extended cab with factory A/C, 134. How much 134 does the system call for & how much oil?
Thank you for your time.

Always refer to any under hood info first but I do show 94-1999 models of crew cab take 36 OZ. 134a and think that' s spot on. Regular cab takes 32oz which is where I would start and it will work on that first if in any question use that amount,

Ooops - Sorry about oil TOTAL system capacity is 8OZ of PAG 150. FYI - you can't know how much is in it unless you start from known totally empty.

If/when parts replaced or a failure if not flushing and replace ALL components of oil it's an educated guess how much to add for each. Dumping oil out of an item is one way depending on what and why it's being replaced,
