It's pretty clear that anything with R134 uses PAG oil, and capacities are easy to obtain. However, it is not always clear what the design viscosity is for a given system. For example: Toyota uses SP-10 or SP20; Nissan Type R, Type F (assume Toyo/Nissan designations are for two different viscosities, but what are they?); Honda/Acura ND-8,
There may also be some special oil blends that the OEM uses that have other anti-friction additives. My major concern is that I at least install the right oil viscosity that the compressor/system was designed to use.
Anyone have a cross reference list for OEM AC compressor oil designations that gives the oil viscosity? Thanks!
